Home intruder grabs girl, 12, by throat before stealing newborn French Bulldog pups

A mum has been left “petrified” by an intruder who broke into her home and attacked her two young children before stealing their newborn French Bulldog puppies.

The masked burglar forced entry into the family home in St James, Northampton, and snatched the four-week-old pups in the middle of the day on June 13.

Hayley King, 33, was home with her daughter, 12, and son, 15, when he marched in and put the valuable dogs into a black duffle bag.

When the young girl confronted him, the 6ft-plus thug terrifyingly grabbed her by the throat and chucked her to the floor.

Hayley says her son, who was upstairs in the bath at the time, rushed downstairs and bravely tried to intervene – but the thief punched the lad twice in the face.

The mum-of-three has branded the man a “monster” and called for him to be tracked down and brought to justice.

“He started picking the puppies up by their legs. My daughter stood up and said: “What are you doing? Get off the dogs,” Hayley told Sun Online.

“The man has then punched my son in the face twice, and said to him ‘if you don’t get off me I’ll shoot you’.

“It’s disgusting. I don’t know what monster would come in and do that. Assaulting the kids is just a different level.

Hayley’s son was left with a black eye from the attack and the family are still reeling from the ordeal.

And the pups are now separated from their mum Vivienne, who had recently given birth to them.

Police are hunting for the cowardly thief, who fled through the back door after battering the young lad.

He has been described as at least 6ft tall, white and had an English accent, and was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit with a snood covering his face.

French Bulldog puppies are highly sought-after and can fetch upwards of £4,000, making them the target of frequent thefts.

In February, Lady Gaga’s pooches were stolen and her dog walker shot and injured by armed dognappers.

Earlier this week, a stolen French Bulldog was found in Manchester, 225 miles from home.
