These beautiful animals have all experienced hardship of some kind.
Now, after being looked after by the Almost Home charity team in Northern Ireland, they will be ready to start the search for a forever home, Belfast Live reports.
Below are seven dogs who were all in need of loving families to take care of them.
Oreo, a German Shepherd cross puppy is aged one and is described as ‘a little unsure but always willing to learn’ and is good with other dogs.

At the time of writing he had just found a new home, Almost Home said.
Storm and Chico are brothers both aged about 18 months old and looking for a home together.
Almost Homes said: “What they lack in size they more than make up for in nature. Chico the little cream boy can be hard work but once he learns to trust you he’s so full of love.
“His brother storm just loves his cuddles. These dog’s haven’t had the easiest of times and so they have a set criteria. This is firstly for them, we need to do the very best and secondly to keep your family safe.
“So they need a quiet home environment, an ultra secure garden, no children under 16 and they need to be the only dogs in the home.”
Wynn – an American Bulldog cross is aged about 23 weeks. She will grow to be medium to large in size.
Her family member became ill and could no longer care for her and she is described as a ‘mischievous girl who makes us all smile.’
Tyson, a German Shepherd, is two years old and is ‘fiercely loyal and protective’ who ‘loves those he has formed a close bond with.’
Almost Homes said: “Tyson adores ball play, in fact any play. On the whole he’s an extremely well mannered boy who will listen to his commands.
“He’s always eager to please us. He adores off lead play time and keeping active and busy with lots of games.
“Tyson will need an adult only home with an owner with breed experience. A strong owner as he is super excited to be out and about. Tyson has so much to learn and is loving life learning with us.”
Lastly, Jacob the Jack Russell terrier and Marley the Shitzu are also seeking a loving family. They are six to seven years old and will both need a home together.
The charity said: “We believe Marley the Shitzu is nearly blind. His eyes were in an awful mess, a quick sedation and cleaned up he is feeling much better.
“They’re super well behaved boys who enjoy the quiet life. A quiet home with no young children would be required, they could, with correct introduction, live with cats.”
